Key Responsibilities:
  
Understand business needs & value creation.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business challenges where AI/ML can drive measurable improvements.
• Define success metrics and ensure alignment with business objectives.

  
Develop quick proof-of-concepts

• Rapidly build and validate ML prototypes to demonstrate feasibility and value.
• Iterate based on feedback, refining models and methodologies for production readiness.

  
Build and deploy scalable ML solutions
  

• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI/ML models on Azure ML to solve complex commercial challenges

  

• Own the entire ML lifecycle, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model selection, hyperparameter tuning, model validation, deployment, and monitoring.

  

• Optimise feature extraction techniques, implement robust model evaluation strategies, and ensure effective inference for real-time and batch scoring using Azure ML Endpoints.

  

• Develop efficient and reusable ML workflows and pipelines, ensuring automated feature engineering, model retraining, and performance tracking across multiple projects.

  

• Implement and enhance MLOps strategies, integrating CI/CD, automated monitoring, drift detection, and model retraining mechanisms to maintain model integrity over time.

  

• Collaborate with data engineers and software engineers to integrate feature stores, scalable data processing pipelines, and model-serving frameworks into production applications, ensuring seamless deployment and reliability.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in developing and deploying scalable backend applications, leveraging strong skills in both Node.js and Java.

Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures is essential, along with a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform.

The role also involved utilizing GitLab Pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment. Familiarity with data storage solutions like MongoDB and API management tools like Kong would be beneficial.

Network Security Engineer

Level: Mid to Senior

Contract Duration: 12 months with a strong possibility of extensions

Location: Sydney – Mascot 2 days on site

Pay: PAYG $700 per day including super PTY $750 per day

Role Overview:

The Network Security Engineer will join two of our clients on a 12-month contract that is highly likely to extend long term.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in routing and switching with solid experience with security and firewalls. They will also have demonstratable experience with project delivery.

Responsibilities:

Networking Expertise:

• Demonstrate proficiency in both Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues.

Project Work:

• Collaborate with project teams to implement new wireless solutions and network enhancements.
• Ensure successful project delivery, meeting deadlines and exceeding client expectations.

Skills and experience required:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies.
• Palo Alto Firewalls
• Fortinet / FortiGate
• F5 Load Balancer
• Security fundamentals (IPSec, Client VPN, etc)
• Routing and Switching (for fundamental network experience)

Certifications:

• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security) desirable
• ITIL certification is a plus.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Problem-Solving:

• Proven ability to analyse and troubleshoot complex network issues in a timely manner.
